ABOUT

Helloooo. My name is Jana and I live on the "rainy" side of Washington. My values and grit were shaped by growing up on a farm on the "sunny" side of the state. I love both worlds. By day I'm a thoughtful visual/ui/ux designer and brand consultant and occasional illustrator for others. You can find my work here. Some say I write good copy, but I don't call myself a writer. In the wee hours, I design greeting cards, jam labels and other ephemera (like posters!) and write silly haiku for myself. I share some of those things here at The Brightest Halo. My brain is also layered with keeping a household running, cooking, being married and raising two teenage boys into caring human beings. (If you're a parent, you know how much mind space this takes. I'm not complaining. I'm just sharing.) On the weekends, you'll likely find me hiking in the woods en route to a sweat-worthy vista. 

The Brightest Halo started on a whim when I created a set of cards based on the Bible verse Galatians 5:22-23 and someone said, "You should sell these!" And voila! In my desire to reach everyone, I make two versions of each card: one with a Bible verse and one without.
